1937, 3 bed, 2 bath, renovated brick bungalow in the heart of Historic Uptown Park Avenue featuring a collection of local art and authors. Extensive, private, off-street parking for multiple vehicles, boats, trailers or RVs.
PRIVATE OUTSIDE SPACE: Enter the fully fenced backyard through a decorative gate under a canopy of 100 year old oaks along an antique brick pathway into a seemingly secluded grotto patio with a gas grill and outdoor furniture.
LAUNDRY/GEAR STORAGE: The backdoor opens into a bright and airy enclosed back porch with washer, dryer, utility sink and plenty of room for fishing, biking and hiking gear. An old fashioned clothes line is steps away to dry swimsuits and towels after a fun day at the lake or thermal water spas.
KITCHEN & DINING: The fully furnished kitchen has everything you need to prepare a great meal together. Enjoy food with family and friends in the comfortable dining room or have a casual bite at the bistro table in the sun room.
LIVING & SUN ROOMS: Relax at the end or beginning of the day in the cozy living room or the sunny enclosed front porch. Grab a cup of coffee, tea or a cocktail, and a good book or classic board game.
MASTER BEDROOM: The master suite includes a queen sized pillow top bed, built in vanity, dresser, expansive walk-in closet, bathroom and 2 person jet Jacuzzi tub. Ceiling fan, built in blinds and black out curtains.
SECOND BEDROOM: On the opposite side of the house, the second queen bedroom with pillow top mattress is a quiet respite overlooking the mossy, shaded front yard. Closet, clothes cube, ceiling fan, built in blinds and black out curtains.
THIRD BEDROOM & OFFICE: The third bedroom includes a business traveler's desk, and single day bed with trundle. Closet, clothes cupboard, ceiling fan, built in blinds and black out curtains. Note that you must pass through this bedroom to get to the private master suite. It's a 1930's bungalow thing.
MAIN BATH: A tankless hot water heater ensures everyone gets a hot shower in the morning. Shower, tub, dual-flush toilet, plenty of towels and various toiletries for convenience.
WI-FI & TV: Whole house Wi-Fi. The living room includes a TV with several cable channels and free Netflix.
PETS: Well-behaved, house broken dogs of any size and any breed welcomed. The backyard is fully fenced. Furniture covers and dog deposit pick up tools are provided. A leash is required when out for walks/hikes. National Park Trails and several eateries nearby are dog friendly! Certified Service Animals welcomed. Non-dog pets or emotional support animals should be discussed in advance to ensure their comfort, safety and security at the Harrell House. Thank you.
There are 2 motion detection exterior cameras located on the property. One faces the front yard and the other on the driveway. The cameras do not record any activity inside the home or the private, fenced backyard.
HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK 100th BIRTHDAY 2021! Help us celebrate all year long, but there are a few big days planned. A special Junior Ranger Centennial badge, and an Iron Ranger badge for those that hike/bike/swim or paddle 100 miles will be available all year. April 20th Hot Springs Reservation Day (we were the very first!). May 1st Park-wide BioBlitz. June 12th 1921 Block Party. July 3rd BARK Ranger Day. August 7th Junior Ranger Day. September 18th Thermal Springs Festival. October 16th Archeology Day. November 13th Park Rx Weekend. Each month there is a themed photo contest, and more planned. NEIGHBORHOOD: The neighborhood is walking and biking friendly with a community coffee shop and a variety store for last minute items only 3 blocks away. Bus stop 2 blocks away. The house is 1 short block from the Pullman Trail for hiking and biking through the National Park to Sunset Trail (hiking only) and the IMBA rated Northwoods Trails. The home is located a couple of minutes from downtown shopping and attractions, Bathhouse row, Hot Springs National Park, spas, more hiking trails, Cedar Glades Park disc golf and RC plane field, the Farmers' Market and the Convention Center; less than 10 minutes from Magic Springs amusement park and Oaklawn Racing and Casino; and 20 minutes from Mid-America Science Museum, crystal digging, Garvan Woodland Gardens, Lake Catherine, Lake Hamilton and Lake Ouachita.
