WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

When you visit our website (www.hotsprings.org) or social media pages, we may collect the following information:

This information is also collected through cookies
  2. Information about how you view our content. When you conduct activities on our social media pages or website (for example, when you read particular content) we collect general information about your location, the device you’re using at the time, from where you arrived on our page and so on.

HOW IS THE INFORMATION USED?

We use this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • To communicate marketing messages, newsletters and details of our business or the businesses of carefully-selected third parties which we think may be of interest to you by post or email or similar technology (you can inform us at any time if you no longer require marketing communications).

For example, our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized personnel have access to user information. Whilst we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur, we use our best efforts to prevent this.

CHANGES

We may make changes to this privacy policy from time to time. If we change our privacy policy we will post the changes on this page. If the change in our privacy policy affects the use of your personal information we will use our best endeavors to contact you by email to seek your consent to the use. Continued use of the service will signify that you agree to any such changes.

By using our site, you consent to the collection and use of information by us. Owing to the global nature of the internet infrastructure, the information you provide may be transferred in transit to countries outside the European Economic Area that do not have similar protections in place regarding your data and its use as set out in this policy. However, we have taken the steps outlined above to try to improve the security of your information. By submitting your information you consent to these transfers.


Linking Policy

Qualifying Listings, Links, & Quick Sites:

Any tourism-related businesses located within the city limits of Hot Springs, Arkansas may be listed on the Hot Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau (HSCVB) website.

  1. All restaurant and lodging establishments collecting the 3% hospitality tax may be listed on the hotsprings.org site free of charge.
  2. All attractions may be listed on the hotsprings.org site free of charge.
  3. Any tourism-related businesses located within a thirty (30) mile radius outside of the Hot Springs city limits may be listed on the hotsprings.org website for an annual fee of $300. This fee includes
  • a listing on the hotsprings.org website
  • a logo and/or a picture of their business.
  • maintenance of the web page.
  1. All tourism-related establishments that request a link on the HSCVB website must include a reciprocal link to each of their websites. If the link is not connected within 30 days, that link will be removed from the Hot Springs website.

Non-Qualifying Listing & Link:

NOTE: Any website can link to hotsprings.org.rocks. This policy deals with listing on/or links from hot-springs.cjrw.rocks.

  1. No website containing offensive language or pictures that could be defined as being in bad taste will be linked or listed on hotsprings.org.rocks.
  2. No political campaign website will be listed or linked on hotsprings.org.
  3. No tourism-related business outside the 30 mile radius of Hot Springs city limits can be listed on the hotsprings.org website.

Linking Policy:

  1. If a qualifying tourism website is linked from hotsprings.org, then that site will use the hotsprings.org logo on the first page of the website and will link this logo to hotsprings.org. If a qualifying website includes a list of related links or recommended links in the site body, then the text listing or logo for hotsprings.org must also be included in this list.
  2. Qualifying websites linked from hot-springs.cjrw.rocks have 30 days to place reciprocal links on their sites. After links to hotsprings.org are in place, Hot Springs Advertising & Promotion should be notified via e-mail to hscvb@hotsprings.org.
  3. If the reciprocal links are not in place after 30 days, the qualifying website's hyperlink from hotsprings.org will be removed.
  4. If a qualifying website hyperlink has been removed, the link will be reactivated once a reciprocal link is in place on the qualifying website.
  5. If a qualifying website includes special programming that "traps" the visitor within the site and does not allow the visitor to return to the hotsprings.org site by clicking the "back" button, the hyperlink to that site will be removed. The hyperlink to the qualifying website will be reactivated when the programming is removed. The qualifying website will have 30 days after notification to remove the programming. After programming has been removed, Hot Springs Advertising & Promotion Commission should be notified via e-mail to hscvb@hotsprings.org

Hot Spring’s Acceptable Use Policy

Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) sets forth the principles that govern the use by customers of the Web-based products and services provided by Hot Springs Convention Center. This AUP is designed to help protect our customers, and the Internet community, from irresponsible, abusive or illegal activities.

General Violations

This AUP identifies the actions that Hot Springs Convention Center considers to be Prohibited Actions (meaning those actions which create denial of access or impediment of service).

Prohibited Actions: General Terms and Conditions of Use

  • Copying/duplicating the Licensed Product or creating subsets or derivative databases from the Database, except for personal use only.
  • Assigning, selling or passing along the Licensed Product.
  • Publishing or otherwise disseminating the Licensed Product or creating subsets or derivative databases from the Database for commercial use or sale.
  • Providing services for a fee using the Licensed Product or any subsets or derivatives thereof.
  • Allowing data from the Licensed Product to be made available to others or downloading the Licensed.
  • Product onto any electronic storage media or distributing or transferring the Database or Search Results in any form (printed, electronically relayed, posted to public list services or bulletin boards, or magnetically stored) to, or for the benefit, of others.
  • Unauthorized distribution of passwords and/or access codes is strictly prohibited
  • Institutional users should contact their Site Administrator regarding the General Terms and Conditions of their License Agreement.

Prohibited Actions: Impersonation/Forgery

  • Adding, removing, or modifying identifying network header information (aka "spoofing") in an effort to deceive or mislead.
  • Attempting to impersonate any person by using forged headers or other identifying information.

Prohibited Actions: Network unfriendly activity

  • Any activities which adversely affect the ability of other people or systems to use Hot Springs Convention Center services or the Internet are prohibited. This includes "denial of service" attacks against the Hot Springs Convention Center servers, network hosts or individual user.

Prohibited Actions: Commercial e-mail

  • Sending unsolicited commercial e-mail. Using a Hot Springs Convention Center e-mail or Website address to distribute commercial e-mail is prohibited.
  • Sending large volumes of unsolicited e-mail (aka "mail bombing") is prohibited.

Prohibited Actions: Access control and Authentication

  • Attempting to circumvent user authentication or security of any host, network, or account (aka "cracking") is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, accessing data not intended for the customer, logging into a server or account the customer is not expressly authorized to access, or probing the security of Hot Springs Convention Center servers and networks.

Prohibited Actions: Proxy Hunters, Spiders, Robots

  • Using any program/script/command, or sending messages of any kind, designed to interfere with a User's session, by any means, locally or by the Internet.

Enforcement

Hot Springs Convention Center reserves the right to monitor Internet access to the Hot Springs Convention Center services by authorized User(s)/Licensee(s), as part of the normal course of its business practice. Should Hot Springs Convention Center discover User(s) engaged in Prohibited Actions as outlined above, which create denial of access or impediment of service, and which adversely affect Hot Spring’s ability to provide services, Hot Springs Convention Center reserves the right to temporarily suspend User/Licensee access to the Hot Springs Convention Center Host Server and/or Database. Hot Springs Convention Center shall make written/electronic notification to User or Licensee point of contact of any temporary suspension, and the cause thereof, as soon as reasonably possible. This temporary suspension will remain in effect until the Prohibited Actions have ceased.
