Sit back & relax at our newly renovated 1930's country Cottage in a relaxing, country location located in the heart of the city. Cottage has 2 BR, 1 BA. Unwind from a busy day on outdoor covered deck w/ lights. Sit outside & enjoy nature or watch the kids play in the big backyard. Pull into the carport, there's also plenty of room to park your boat here. Energy Park Boat launch is 3 minutes away. We're minutes to Oaklawn Racetrack & Casino, 8 minutes to historic downtown. 2 minutes to bypass.

The space
This 1930’s cottage has been in my family for over 45 years, it was my Mom’s and she enjoyed visiting often. When it was passed down to me, my husband and I worked to bring it back to its original glory with a few modern touches.

This cottage is a perfect blend of family memories and our favorite things. We love coming here to relax and enjoy our little piece of heaven. We named the cottage after my mom, Carlene. We decided to share Carlene’s cottage with you and hope you enjoy its charm as much as we do.

Check-in with keyless entry. The cottage has an outdoor covered deck with seating and lights, a big backyard and room to bring your boat and a second vehicle to park in the driveway. There is also a workspace in case you need to catch up on emails, WIFI is throughout the cottage and we have comfy beds when its time to sleep.

The kitchen is equipped with all the essentials needed to cook. Coffee/creamer and tea are also provided. There are also board games for kids and adults and a few books to read if you want to sit and relax. The smart TV has the Pluto app installed and picks up many channels and you can use your Netflix account or other paid subscriptions.

You can bring your dog, upon approval (non-refundable fee per dog). Will consider a second dog, must be approved prior to stay and pay pet fees). I will provide dog bowls and doggie doo bags, please pick up the yard after your dog. We do not have a fenced yard, so bring your leash. Dogs must be potty trained.

This cottage is perfect for a small family or a romantic get-away with a peaceful quiet setting. You're minutes away from the lake, Oaklawn Racetrack & Casino, downtown and hiking trails.
