Hot Springs’ Majestic Park Baseball Complex Named Finalist for State Business of the Year By Arkansas Business Publication

HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, Arkansas — Hot Springs’ new Majestic Park baseball/softball complex, which officially opened this year, was named Monday as a finalist in the Business of the Year Awards sponsored by the Arkansas Business weekly news publication.

The park, which has five fields suitable for play from Little League to professional baseball, was one of five businesses nominated in the category of businesses and nonprofit organizations with 30 or fewer employees. The winning organization will be named February 27, 2023, and will be recognized at an awards banquet in Little Rock on March 8 at the Statehouse Convention Center.

“Majestic Park continues to be recognized as one of the finest facilities in the South,” Visit Hot Springs CEO Steve Arrison said. “Earlier this fall it was named Arkansas’s Outdoor Facility of the Year by the Arkansas Recreation and Parks Association. I congratulate Park General Manager Derek Phillips and his team for still another honor.”

“Once again I applaud all of our tireless employees here at Majestic Park,” Phillips said. “It’s great that our efforts to bring healthy and fun outdoor activities to Hot Springs and all the kids who turned out to play baseball during our first year of operation continue to be recognized. We’ll continue to work hard every day to live up to the confidence our city has placed in us.”

Other finalists in the award category in which Majestic Park was included are: AMR Architects; ECCI; Gentry Professional Services and Portable Kitchens (PK Grills).
