Hospitality Industry Veteran Stacey Ellis Joins Visit Hot Springs Staff as Sales Manager

HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, Arkansas — Stacey Ellis, a 25-year veteran of the hospitality industry, has joined the sales staff of Visit Hot Springs as a sales manager, it was announced today.

“The Visit Hot Springs staff has worked with Stacey for more than two decades, and she will bring her extensive experience in the Hot Springs hospitality industry to work with us in bringing ever-increasing meetings and conventions business to our city,” said Tammy Clampet, director of sales for Visit Hot Springs. “Her great work ethic and enthusiastic personality will be a tremendous asset. She’ll join the staff January 18.

“With so many years in the industry she has developed lasting relationships with event planners across the state and region.”

Ellis said, “I can’t wait to get to work with Tammy and the sales staff to bring folks to our wonderful convention center facility for the best meeting or convention they’ve ever experienced.”

Ellis is originally from Michigan but has called Hot Springs her hometown for more than 30 years. She attended Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Mich.

She got her start in the hospitality industry more than 25 years ago at what was once the Hilton Hot Springs Hotel, now Hotel Hot Springs. She served as a sales manager for the opening of the Embassy Suites Hot Springs Hotel in 2003 and then was the director of sales from 2006 to 2020. She was the recipient of the first Cindy Dewitt Award in 2015 for the Arkansas Hospitality Association – Greater Hot Springs Area Chamber of Commerce and was nominated for Director of Sales of the Year for the Embassy Brand in 2008.

Ellis was director of education and events for the Arkansas Health Care Association from 2020 to this year.

She and her husband, Joe Wilcox, live in Hot Springs Village with stepdaughter Allison and their two cats, Barley and Dingy.
