Judy’s art career spans many years of education in the arts as well as juried art competitions in Arkansas, Houston, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona. Judy studied Fine Arts and Geology at the University of Houston. Judy lived in Socorro, New Mexico where her interest in old historical sites drew her attention and she painted abandoned buildings and structures indigenous to the desert. Her paintings were displayed in a gallery in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1999 her paintings were accepted into a juried New Mexico Art Contest at the New Mexico State Fair Grounds.

As a scuba diver, in Houston, Texas, Judy started painting underwater sites that fascinated her so she went under the nom de plume, The Diving Artist.

After moving to Hot Springs, Judy painted local interesting sites, pets and buildings. She has done commissioned work around the US and continues her exploration in oils, water colors and acrylics. Judy continues to accept commissions for any subject and will deliver in any medium.
