Enjoy a Three-Day Weekend in Hot Springs, Arkansas

Summer holidays tend to mean 3-day weekends are more abundant. With that extra time, it’s about time you find yourself in Hot Springs.

Summertime eats usually mean one thing — barbecue. Fortunately for us, the Spa City has some of the best.

Tamale Spread from McClard's BBQ in Hot Springs, AR

McClard’s Bar-B-Q has been a staple in Hot Springs since 1928. It has remained a family business from the very beginning, now operated by Scott McClard — the fourth generation of the McClard family. Known nationwide for their signature sauce, McClard’s has gained a following from celebrities to politicians, and everyone in between. And along, the recipe has remained the same.

Another longtime institution, Stubby’s Bar-B-Q boasts they have been “cooking cue since ‘52,” and have earned their reputation as a local favorite. Located across from Oaklawn Racing and Gaming, this barbecue joint is one you won’t want to miss. Here you’ll find traditional favorites from pulled pork and ribs to smoked ham.

Another great spot you'll enjoy is Smokin’ in Style BBQ, which has been serving up barbecue just like the name suggest — in style.

What started as competition smoking and catering quickly grew into a business worthy of its own restaurant. Family owned and operated, Smokin’ in Style prides itself in meats that don’t need a sauce to dress them up (however there are different varieties available on each table if you need them). Specialties like turkey legs, brisket and catfish can all be found among the traditional fare.
