Here's hoping that the winter weather is out of our way in time for Spring Break! Here are a couple of spots you'll want to visit during your time off! In no particular order:

1). The First Ever Twelfth Annual Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade

You'll want to mark your calendars to make sure you help paint the town green on St. Patrick's Day!  Dubbed the "World's Shortest Street in Everyday Use," Bridge Street becomes the focus of downtown Hot Springs every St. Patrick's Day.  This year, Celebrity Grand Marshall and NASCAR driver Mark Martin will lead the parade along with county music sensation The Swon Brothers, the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, the Dancing Irish Elvi, and our newest resident -- the inflatable Hoddy O'Springs!  Make sure to get there early to save your place.

2). Sam's Pizza Pub

"Tammy's mission is to keep and make Sam's Pizza Pub a warm, family friendly place for all to come, relax and enjoy.  Within weeks of taking over the pub, locals returned and the visitors continue to grow." Enjoy a crisp spring breeze with any of their delicious pub food and beverages!

3). Mid-America Science Museum

Having just re-opened on March 7th, Mid-America Science Museum has reopened after receiving a $7.8 million renovation funded by a grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. A hit with guests of all ages, this premier hands-on learning facility is home to nearly two dozen new exhibits designed specifically for Mid-America by the Exploratorium in San Francisco. Enjoy indoor exhibits and outdoor adventures on the Bob Wheeler Sky Walk, then refuel in the Museum Cafe for a bite to eat!

4). Fat Jack's Oyster and Sports Bar

5). Live Racing at Oaklawn

No trip to Hot Springs is complete without a visit to Oaklawn! While the winter weather froze the track at times in the season, two additional race days (March 18 and 25) have been added to the schedule. Enjoy an afternoon at the track, try your hand at a variety of games in the expanded gaming section, and indulge in one of the delicious dining options available inside!
