"Hot Springs: A Journey Through History" is part of the permanent collection owned by the CVB featuring 19 new photos.

* Cy Young, the legendary baseball pitcher, March 23, 1907. This photo was taken during spring training for pitchers held in Whittington Park. At the time Young was the player/manager for the Boston Americans (later renamed the Boston Red Sox).

"Hot Springs: A Journey Through History" consists of photographs from the collection of the Garland County Historical Society that have been enlarged and framed for exhibition purposes.

Gallery Walk gives an opportunity to stroll beautiful downtown Hot Springs and enjoy some of the finest contemporary art in America. The art galleries that sparkle like a fine necklace are located in the heart of the Victorian downtown district. They stay open until 9 p.m., often with music and complimentary refreshments. The artists whose works are on display also turn out to chat with visitors to the galleries. Antique/Boutique Row (100-200) Block of Historic Downtown Central Avenue is one of Hot Springs' most popular destinations and features Antique/Boutique Walk each month on the third Friday evening from 4-8 pm. It is the place to be for that one-of-a-kind treasure, antiques, fine art, clothing, dazzling jewelry, specialty foods, plus unique gifts for the home and garden. MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR ANTIQUE/BOUTIQUE WALK - Enjoy an evening of fun, shopping, and entertainment.

“Meet the farmers who grow your family’s food at the historic downtown Hot Springs Farmers Market. On Friday, September 3, the Artchurch Studios will feature for its First Friday series the work of Katherine Strause in an exhibition entitled, “Women of a Certain Age.”  Taking place during the Gallery Walk hours (5 pm-9 pm), Strause’s work will be exhibited in the Cathedral Room.  Refreshments a ‘la 1950s will be served, activities will be available for visiting children, and the classic 1959 movie, “Some Like it Hot,” will be shown outside, beginning at 8:30 pm.  Spectators are encouraged to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs to view the movie.

Antique Motorcycle Club of America Diamond Chapter of Arkansas proudly presents this exhibit of motorcycles ranging from 1916 to 1980.

A celebration of jazz music includes taking a journey through jazz of the ages. A free outdoor concert under the Broadway Sky-Bridge on Saturday and a ticketed featured group following the dinner hour in a local venue. The celebration is complete with a special out of town artist or group on Sunday. Sponsored by The Hot Springs Jazz Society.

A celebration of jazz music throughout the ages performed in a club setting by Arkansas's best musicians.  Proceeds go toward keeping the outdoor Hot Springs JazzFest free and open to all.

This year's Cannonball we are honored to dedicate to our friend Bud Ekins. Aside from an accomplished racer and stuntman, Bud loved pre-1916 motorcycles and rode them every chance he got. He always encouraged me to make the cannonball a reality. He was a pioneer, a hero, and just one of the guys.

These are but a few of the vintage, pre-1916 motorcycles that will be thumping their way across these great United States for the Motorcycle Cannonball endurance run in September 2010. Riders will virtually dip their tread in the salty waters of the East Coast’s Atlantic Ocean as the officials wave the green flag, then come to rest some 3,320 miles later, at the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean’s West Coast.
