High-profile music artists and a huge new family water-play attraction are going to make Magic Springs Water and Theme Park, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, one of the coolest places in Arkansas to be this summer. The theme park is set to open on Saturday, April 13 at 11:00 a.m.
The theme park features fun for the whole family including thrill rides like the X-Coaster and Gauntlet. There are family-friendly favorites like the Diamond Mine Coaster and the Old No. 2 Logging Company Log Flume. Plus there are plenty of fun rides for the little ones. The park also offers a variety of food and cold drink choices, skill games and a beer garden for adults.
The park has also announced its highly anticipated concert series for the 2013 season and the addition of a multimillion-dollar water park attraction to open on Memorial Day Weekend. The first concert of the season is May 25 featuring Collective Soul. Other notable acts include Little Big Town, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Everclear. A Magic Springs Season Pass, now priced at $69.99 through April 14, allows for unlimited visits to the park and up to 18 free shows at the concert series. After April 14, the Season Pass will increase to $74.99. Fans may opt for a general admission ticket to individual concerts, with free lawn seating on a first-come, first-served basis at Timberwood Amphitheater. In addition, reserved seating may be purchased for $10 or $5.
Water Park Opens May 11; Splash Island to Debut May 25
The water park opens on Saturday, May 11, featuring the exciting Boogie Blast, the Kodiak Adventure River, High Sierra Slide Tower and much more. Smaller children will enjoy Bear Cub Bend and Grizzly Creek Splash Zone.
For the ultimate VIP experience at the water park, visitors can rent their own private cabana, a private personal space with a variety of amenities. Reservations can be made on the website.
The newest attraction, Splash Island, is set to debut on Saturday, May 25. It will be more than four stories tall and feature 10 water slides, a bucket that dumps 1,000 gallons of water every 10 minutes and dozens of ways to get wet and stay cool. It also features bubbler jets, water wheels, tipping buckets, water curtains, net climbs, pools and waterfalls. There is also a new lounge deck surrounding the attraction.
