There is a willow oak tree planted, soil from the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery in France has been flown in by the WWI committee to be sprinkled around the tree.

The Tree will provide a living memorial to the thousands who served their country during World War I, which includes many from this area. The public is invited to attend the dedication, which will incorporate the placement of the soil from France around the memorial tree.

Contact Anthony Whittington, Hot Springs Urban Forester for more information about the event

Arkansas Forestry Commission can confirm we will be distributing Sawtooth Oak seedlings to attendees.  Limit is 5 seedlings per person. Seedlings are bare-root (no soil).
