What could be more magical than a miniature Christmas Village that evokes the time honored traditions of a Dickens Christmas? Thanks to a generous donation from Dianne House, a new Christmas Village display debuted in 2016 in the Gardens Magnolia Room.

Dianne House donated 40 Department 56 Christmas village pieces and 30 accessories last year, and brought Garvan several boxes more this year.  This year it will be set up as a large Christmas tree with village scenes on several levels.  Pieces include Elf Spa, Santa’s Outlook Tower, Elf Snow Cone Works, North Pole Chapel, Real Plastic Snow Factory, Mini Donut Shop, Lego Building Creation Station, Egg Nog Pub, Reindeer Flight School, and Tin Soldier Shop. There is a miniature train, too. Enhancements that make the village even more authentic include artificial snow, lighting and a whimsical backdrop of snow-covered mountain peaks. Triumph Airborne Structures has sponsored the display.
