Expansion Complete

Construction as of July 23, 2003. |
Construction is now complete on the expansion of the Hot Springs Civic and Convention Center, which makes the facility the largest in Arkansas and the most versatile meeting facility in the region.
The expansion includes a 120,000-square-foot arena used for athletic events, concerts of all kinds and additional exhibit and meeting space. The result is a 360,000-square-foot facility that can accommodate several events simultaneously. The expanded Center also features ample free parking for all who use the facility.

The expanded facility extends from the east side of the Center to the Exhibit Hall with a removable soundproof wall that is used to create a single, much-enlarged exhibit venue or separate.

The new addition includes automated retractable seating that allows it to be easily adapted for use as an
athletic arena, for
concerts or other performances, or for a separate
exhibit space.
It also includes locker rooms and shower facilities that meet NCAA specifications for athletic events. New concession spaces have been included. The lower lobby at the Laurel Street & Convention Boulevard corner is where the ticket sales facility and hospitality/meeting rooms are located.
