Description:
The 29th annual Little Miss Arkansas Pageant will be held May 24 at the Hot Springs Convention Center. The Little Miss Arkansas Pageant is open to any Arkansas girl up to age 17. There are five age groups with a winner and two alternates in each. Contestants will compete in sports-wear and pageant dress. There is also a photogenic competition in each group. The three-day show will be held at the Hot Springs Convention Center. The Family Fun Zone and Outdoor Show will open at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29, and Friday, May 30. On Saturday, May 31, the show will open at noon. Weigh-ins each day will be held in Summit Arena at 4 p.m., and the Ranger Boat winner will be drawn from the crowd during the final weigh-in. Admission and all activities are free.
Description:
This will mark the fourth time the prestigious championship, which annually shines an international media spotlight on the nation’s best weekend anglers, will be held in Hot Springs.
Hot Springs has hosted a number of record-setting FLW Outdoors tournaments, including the historic 2007 Forrest Wood Cup where Scott Suggs of Bryant, Ark., became the sport’s first $1 million winner. The event drew a record crowd of more than 60,000 fans to Summit Arena and the Hot Springs Convention Center over the course of four days. Hot Springs also hosted the 2005 Forrest Wood Cup and the 2004, 2001 and 2000 All-American championships, each of which set fan attendance records.
Like the Forrest Wood Cup, the All-American will feature a Family Fun Zone and Outdoor Show with children’s rod and reel giveaways and a Ranger boat giveaway on the final day of competition.

If you are a dog lover then this is the event for you. The Hot Springs Kennel Club will present an American Kennel Club sanctioned dog show. Entertaining you with the most obedient, well trained and purebred dogs competing for the top spots. Dogs that are not entered are not allowed. Spectators are welcome. |

Registration for the four regular-season events can be completed at www.Bassmaster.com. Priority registration is open to the top 35 pros and co-anglers in the 2007 Toyota WBT Angler of the Year standings beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2007. Registration will open at noon Tuesday, December 4, for all BASS members who wish to sign up for all four regular-season events. Those who wish to sign up for single events can register beginning at noon Tuesday, December 18.

The championship event of the 2008 Toyota Women’s Bassmaster Tour fishing series will be held October 23 – 25, 2008, on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs and will determine the 2008 WBT Angler of the Year. She will become the first woman in history to qualify for the world-famous Bassmaster Classic. |

The first annual THE GAME attracted nearly 3,000 fans and was the first sporting event played on the basketball floor of the new arena. |
