HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, Arkansas — Three Arkansas fishing legends will present a free High School Fishing Academy seminar for high school fishing enthusiasts on October 28 at the Hot Springs Convention Center.

Professional fishermen Mark Rose, Stephen Browning and Mark Davis will offer tips and techniques the night before the first-ever Arkansas High School Bassmaster High School Series  tournament set to begin October 29 on Lake Hamilton.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. Although it will be targeted for high schoolers, the public is invited to attend the free event.

Davis will be giving away a half-day fishing trip and the other two pros will give away autographed prizes and tackle awarded by a free drawing.

Visit Hot Springs is the host for the seminar, with assistance from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

The event will feature the three fishing professionals in two hours of instructional seminars and illustrations, advice on mental preparation, fishing your strengths, ledge fishing and approaching new water.

Refreshments will be on sale.

Browning is a BASSMASTER, with 259 tournaments under his belt. He has fished in 10 BASSMASTER Classics and finished in the money 139 of those times. He has career winnings of $1,294,429.

Davis is a three-time Toyota Tundra BASSMASTER Angler of the Year and the 1995 BASSMASTER Classic champion. He was the first fisherman to win the BASSMASTER Classic and Angler of the Year in the same year . He has fished in 281 tournaments and has fished in the BASSMASTER Classic 19 times, including his first place finish. His career winnings total $1,901,550.

Rose has seven tournament wins and 46 Top 10 finishes. His career winnings total $2,031,376.
