One of the best things about summertime is being able to sit outside, drink an ice cold drink, and enjoy a good meal with friends and family and what better place to do that than the Spa City? If you are looking for the perfect place to dine alfresco in Hot Springs this summer, you have come to the right place. In no particular order, here are 12 alfresco restaurants in Hot Springs.

1. Rolando's 210 Central Ave.

If you are in the mood for some fantastic Latin American food then head on over to Rolando's near Bathhouse Row. Rolando's boasts a twinkle light adorned mountainside patio with live music and a menu full of great food and drinks. And the guacamole is out of this world!

2. Fisherman's Wharf 5101 Central Ave.

Located on gorgeous Lake Hamilton, Fisherman's Wharf is home to some of Arkansas' finest steak and seafood. Modeled after coastal seafood restaurants, Fisherman's Warf has a large lakeside patio perfect to grab a drink with friends and enjoy the beautiful Arkansas weather. Whether you get there by boat or by car you need to hurry over and get your seafood on. I highly suggest the oysters they are my absolute favorite!

3. Sam's Pizza 401 Burchwood Bay Road

Despite the name, Sam's Pizza serves up a wide variety of sandwiches, steaks, catfish, daily specials and of course, pizza! Sam's back patio makes you feel like you're at relaxing at home. So feel free to kick up your feet, enjoy a cold drink, and listen to some live music while you dine. My favorite Sam's Pizza growing up was the pepperoni and mushroom...YUM!

4. Java Primo 4429 Central Avenue Suite A

Voted Arkansas No. 1 coffee shop by both KATV and KHTV, Java Primo is the perfect start or finish to your day. Part gift shop, part restaurant, part coffee bar, Java Primo is truly a one stop shop for anything you need! The side patio is the perfect spot to unwind with a great meal or just a fantastic cup of coffee any time of the day. My go-to drink is the Primo Pounder which combines ice cream, espresso beans and a flavor shot...it's perfect for those hot summer days coming up!

5. Bleu Monkey Grill 4263 Central Ave.

Family owned Bleu Monkey Grill features a great menu with a wide variety of foods so that everyone with you will be sure to find something they love! During the warmer months bring your dog and hang out on the patio (Bleu Monkey’s outdoor dining is pet friendly) and for an appetizer try the Mac & Cheese Balls.

Blue Monkey Grill6. Taco Mama 1209 Malvern Ave.

Built from an up cycled hardware store from the 1930s, Taco Mama is home to truly authentic Mexican food and some of the coldest margaritas and draft beer in town! Taco Mama also hosts a self-serve condiment bar featuring several different salsa types and roasted hot peppers. The fabulous covered patio is located at the back of the building and features fans and misters for the hot summer months. As for their menu, people rave about the Shrimp Quesadillas!

7. Vina Morita 610 Central Ave. Suite B

Feeling fancy? Make a reservation at the brand-new Vina Morita Restaurant and Wine Bar and sit outside on the street-side covered patio and enjoy their handcrafted menu of locally sourced food and drinks no matter the weather! Serving upscale Mexican inspired food and with a wide variety of wines, you can't go wrong here. The margarita flight is a must try and it is pretty!

8. Jay’s Restaurant 538 W Grand Ave.

For a taste of modern European food in downtown Hot Springs head on over to Jay's Restaurant. Brunch on a patio with live music and cold drinks can't be beaten! For the win, order the Eggs Benedict.

Jays9. Steinhaus Keller 801 Central Ave. #15

If it's German fare you're craving then head down Central Avenue and check out Steinhaus Keller in the lower level of Spencer's Corner. There is an amazing grotto style patio with several seating options and a German beer menu that would make you think you were actually in Germany. I've heard really good things about the Potato Pancakes and Schnitzel!

10. Rod’s Pizza 3350 Central Avenue

Serving Hot Springs with amazing pizza since 1975, Rod's Pizza is a local staple. Rod's is known for serving pizza with only real cheese that is sliced at the Cellar daily and homemade sauce and dough. Rod's other "secret" is serving up a fantastic atmosphere both indoors and outside on their Godfather sized patio, which means you must try their Godfather pizza.

11. Back Porch Grill 4810 Central Avenue

Located behind Sunbay Resorts with fantastic views of Lake Hamilton, Back Porch Grill offers up a full menu of some of the finest Black Angus beef and seafood dishes in town. You can get to Back Porch Grill by walking, driving, or boating and you can either make a reservation of just walk in. I suggest making a reservation for the patio and ordering the Lobster Stuffed Ravioli, it is very tasty!

12. Fat Jack’s 101 Central Ave.

Located in historic downtown Hot Springs, Fat Jack's Oyster and Sports Bar is always a great choice for a great time. Featuring some of the best Cajun and Creole food in the city, Fat Jack's food can be enjoyed both indoors and outdoors on their covered patio. Either way you are guaranteed to have a great time and get some fabulous food and drinks. I highly recommend the Seafood Crepes!
