Temperatures are still sitting in the triple digits some days here in Arkansas, but many of you are just days away from a new school year, heralding the end of summer. Arkansas’s Tax Free Weekend is this weekend and we want to help you prepare your fall wardrobe that is comfortable with that extra POP the kids like. There are many great places to shop and we would like to give you our top 4 to make sure you hit this weekend. But first, this season’s fashion forecast.

Young Girls in Fall
Girls:
Happy-colored denim is a must this season. They pair well with graphic shirts with fun sayings and logos on them that give an everyday look a bit of personality and humor.

Neon is still hot and young girls can get away with a lot of it. Make sure to grab some dresses with pops of big color to pair with leggings. Little girls love sparkles, and there is a lot of that available this season. A shirt with a few sequins or a flash of shimmer should be on your back to school shopping list.

 Fall Fashion

Teen Girls:
If you're going to invest in one dress this season, make it a denim dress. Wear it with sandals while the weather's still warm, and rock it with boots and a flannel shirt when it starts to get chilly. Speaking of flannel, grab a few extra shirts, they can mix and match with a cozy sweater, classic black leggings and all kinds of denim. Do grab some fun printed leggings, a pair of overalls (yes, hello 80s) and an Army jacket, then let your layering begin.

Boy on Swing

Boys:
Colored denim is also hot for boys this season, add a great graphic tee or hoodie and they will have a stylish look that meets their comfort requirements. Make sure to grab a jacket, military jackets are “in”, and of course a great pair of sneakers. They will be ready for the classroom and the playground. Make sure to grab at least one dressy look, you know, there is always school picture day. A nice, non-bulky sweater (again, comfort is most important for boys) with a pair of khakis should do the trick.

Layering will still be the big trend for guys too this fall. Check the closets and grab staples that still fit from last year's wardrobe and pair them with trendy vests and hoodies that are as stylish as they are practical in these upcoming days of unpredictable temps.

This tax free weekend, clothing and other school-related items less than $100 each are eligible to have their sales tax taken off. Click here for a full list of Arkansas Tax Free Weekend information.
